Description
Stone inscription from Taishan, Shandong, one of six or seven inscriptions dating from Qinshihuang's tours of the east; with supplementary text and the names of attendant ministers added by Qin'ershi. In the calligraphy of Li Si. Twenty-nine characters only remaining. This rubbing taken from a Jiaqing era (1796-1820) engraving (after an old rubbing) commissioned by Ruan Yuan (1764-1849); includes colophones added by Ruan Yuan and Weng Fanggang (1733-1818).
