This monochrome artotype from 1888 features a multi-story Victorian mansion with a complex and highly textured facade. Several young, thin trees are planted at intervals along the street in the foreground, and a neighboring building is partially visible to the left. Faint text printed along the upper margin of the image reads, "Artotype No. 60. BANCROFT LIBRARY" and "With 'S. F. News Letter,' March 3d, 1888".
