Draft of an official letter concerning problems in the manufacturing of oil.
Translation: (…) [Having been informed that (?)] they are ready to hand over in full the manufacture and distribution in accordance with the agreement made with Dionusios in the presence of Ptolemaios, one of the friends and chief cupbearer, and also to deliver the proper sureties and to pay the 100 talents of copper, finding that for the manufacture in Epeiph and Mesore there is a deficiency of 2088 1/2 1/4 artabas of sesame, 726 art. of cnecus, 6 .. art. of kroton, and for the distribution 47 metretai 3 choes 8 kotulai of foreign oil, we judged it right to report this in order that you may look into it and decide as you think best and may order a report to be made to us.
