Receipt for various taxes paid by Kronion and Taorsenouphis, including apparently the tax paid in lieu of personal service in digging embankments, crown lands, and public works.
Translation: The twenty-first year of Imperator Titus Aelius Hadrianus Antoninus Augustus Pius, Epeiph 27. Paid to Apion and Demetrios, collectors at Kerkesephis, by Kronion son of Achilleus for the naubion-tax upon katoikoi for the said 21st year 420 copper drachmas, for extra payments 45 copper drachmas, for (the naubion-tax) upon lessees at reduced rents (?) 300 copper drachmas, for extra payments 60 drachmas, for change 15 dr., for the receipt 3 obols, for the rate on account of the works of Krios [.] drachmas 2 obols [.] chalkoi, and to the credit of Taorsenouphis daughter of Ammonios for the naubion-tax upon katoikoi also for the 21st year 300 copper drachmas, for extra payments 30 copper dr., for change 10 copper drachmas, for the receipt 1 1/2 obols, for the rate of Krios 1 dr. 1/2 obol [.] chalkoi, paid through Dideis.
