Description

Magical amulet against fever addressed to a deity called Kok Kouk Koul and preceded by a magical word repeated with the successive omission of the first and last letters, so as to form an inverted triangle, reading the same across or down one side and up the other. Below triangle are six additional lines.
Translation: ablanathanablanamacharamaracharamara[ch blanathanablanamacharamaracharama[ra l[a]nathanablanamacharamaracharamar anathanablanamacharamaracharama nathanablanamacharamaracharam athanablanamacharamarachara thanablanamacharamarachar anablanamacharamaracha nablanamacharamarach ablanamacharamara blanamacharamar lanamacharama anamacharam namachara amachar macha ach a unwearied Kok Kouk Koul, keep Tais, whom Tar bore, from every chill, tertian or quartan or daily or occuring on alternate days or night fever[... …because I am the father- […Ko]k, Kouk, Koul.
