Also included ar leases of cleruchic land in the division of Themistes, abstracts of loans, short accounts, dowries and marriage contracts, sales of fruit and grape gardens, vineyards.
Translation: Aristion, Cyrenaean, decurio of the troop of Me[-], has leased to Petemous son of Harmiysis, Arabian, cultivator, and to Tauros son of Ptolemaios, Thracian of the epigone, his holding which he has from the state near the village of Arsinoe, consisting of 36 arouras, at a rent of 8 1/2 (artabas) per aroura, without seed, namely half his holding; and he shall deliver the rent in the month Dystros. Charge 1 drachma. Keeper of the contract, Kleonymos. 16th. Apollonides son of Apollonios, from Aenos, acknowledges to Apollonios son of Dionysios, Cyrenaean of the epigone, that he has undertaken the work allotted him and will clear … the garden of Herakleides on the left, and he has received from Apollonios the prepayment of 10 drachmas. Charge 4 obols. Keeper of the contract, N.N. 17th. Mousaios son of Simon, Jew of the epigone, has lent to Lasaites son of Iz…is, Jew of the epigone, 108 bronze drachmas at par, with interest at 2 drachmas per month…. Keeper of the contract, Dositheos. Charge 4 obols. 18th, 19th: nothing. 20th: nothing. 21st. Nikaia daughter of Amyntas, Macedonian, with her guardian N.N. son of Bizones, Thracian of the epigone, acknowledges to Strouthos son of N.N. and Philasterios son of Eukrates, Persian, that she has received from Strouthos in respect of all the matters about which she presented petitions 20 drachmas up to Panemos of the xxth year. Charge 1 drachma. Keeper of the contract, Menandros. 22nd. Trochinides, Boeotian, of the guard and 4th hipparchy (?), holder of 100 arouras, has leased to Ptolemaios son of Demetrios, Prienian of the epigone, from his holding which he has near the village of Lagis 10 arouras of land at a rent of 2 artabas of wheat for each aroura, without seed, subject to no risk of loss, for 3 years; and he shall continue to cultivate them … Charge 1 drachma.
