Theodotos acknowledges to have ceded to four Crown tenants the quarters belonging to his father. The six witnesses are all Jews.
Translation: Scriptura interior: In the reign of Ptolemaios son of Ptolemaios and Arsinoe, gods Philopatores, in the 4th year, while Adaios son of Gorgias was priest of Alexandros and the gods Soteres and the gods Adelphoi and the gods Euergetai and the gods Philopatores, and Philte daughter of Antikles was athlophoros of Berenike Euergetis, and Arsinoe daughter of Solon kanephoros of Arsinoe Philadelphos, in the month Audnaios, which is Epeiph in the Egyptian calendar, on the fifteenth, in Samareia in the Arsinoite nome. Theodotos son of Kassandros, a Paeonian of Phyleus' troop, taktomisthos, acknowledges ro Haryotes son of Harseus and to Orsenouphis son of N.N. and to Katytis son of Pet[--] abd to another Katytis son of P[--], all four Arsinoites and farmers of Crown land, that he has ceded the quarters belonging to his father in Kerkesephis … and that he will not proceed against them himself or by any agent of his nor will suborn any other person to do so on any pretext. And if he himself or any agent of his proceeds against them … Theodotos shall forfeit to Haryotes and Orsenouphis and Katytis and the other Katytis a fine of 2000 drachmas in bronze coin, and his claim shall be invalid. This contract shall be valid. Witnesses are Theodotos son of Iason, Diophantos son of Theodotos, Hieroous son of Timotheos, Milon son of Zosimos, Demokrates son of N.N., Sabbathaios son of N.N., all six Jews. Keeper of the contract is Hieroous son of Timotheos.
