Diana Brown was born in England and immigrated to the United States after World War II. She got a job at the Presidio, where she worked as a secretary in the G1 office. She worked in Japan and Korea and eventually came back to the Presidio. She worked in the broadcast department and for the Star Presidian. She went on to become a novelist and published seven books. In this interview, Brown discusses her early life; her early years at the Presidio; seeing the world through her job; working in the broadcast department; meeting her husband; having children and moving to Southern California; becoming a novelist; and her hopes for the future of the Presidio.
