Description
Tyler Deaton led the successful effort to prevent the repeal of the freedom to marry in New Hampshire and then went on to lead the “Young Conservatives for the Freedom to Marry” campaign at Freedom to Marry. Deaton was born in 1986 in Georgia and raised in Georgia and then Alabama. He attended conservative Wheaton College, where he met the man he would later marry. In this interview, Deaton discusses his work organizing conservatives to support the freedom to marry, particularly in New Hampshire, a state in which Republicans joined Democrats in 2010 to fight back legislation that would have repealed marriage for same-sex couples
