Description
Peter Dale Scott was a professor in the Department of Speech and very active in raising faculty support for FSM. He describes the formation of the Faculty Committee of Two Hundred and the strategy it used to secure passage of the December 8th resolution of the Academic Senate granting the rights demanded by the FSM. Scott reflects on Mario Savio and other student activists and the high caliber of their argumentation and writing. Scott also discusses the anti-war movement on campus, the history of the speech department and his own poetry and political writing.
