Description
Steve Maizlish was a sophomore who was active in Campus CORE. He had been involved in the anti-discrimination demonstrations throughout the Bay Area in 1963 and the Spring of 1964, and had attended the Republican Party National Convention that summer. He vividly recounts his participation in events of the FSM and particularly recalls speeches, not typically reported on, that were made by activists, such as Ron Anastasi reading JFK’s inaugural address before students began the occupation of Sproul Hall.
