William Green is a lawyer and was the senior vice president and general counsel for Chiron Corporation. He received a bachelor’s degree in political science from Yale University in 1966 and completed his law degree at Georgetown University Law Center in 1975. He served in the Navy during the Vietnam War and was hired to the law firm Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison in 1975. He joined Chiron Corporation full-time in 1990 as a general counsel, and remained at the company until 2006. In this interview, Green reflects on his childhood and education, his service in the Navy, working for Chiron while at Brobeck, his experience as general counsel for Chiron, and several of Chiron’s projects.
