Description

Mark Braly was raised in Texas and joined the Air Force as a reservist. During the Vietnam War he worked in Thailand for the U.S. Information Agency. In the 1990s he helped cities and communities adjust to base closures while working with for the Office of Economic Adjustment. Braly then played a key role in facilitating the closure of the Oakland Army Base, with attention paid to economic, environmental, political, and historical elements of base closure.
