Hattie Stillwell came from a rice farming family in Arkansas. She moved to the Bay Area with her husband during the War and worked at Moore Dry Dock shipyard. In this interview she discusses her early life and family background in Arkansas, migrating to the Bay Area, the Boilermakers union, how Oakland changes over time, and racial discrimination in Arkansas and California.
