Adrian Kragen was a law professor at Berkeley Law (formerly known as Boalt Hall) and attorney specializing in US tax law. Born in 1907, Kragen grew up on Page Street, San Francisco and graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor's degree in history from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1931. After earning his JD from Berkeley Law in 1934, he served as Deputy California Attorney General under Earl Warren and General Counsel for the California Retailers Association. He later returned to his alma mater, first as a law professor and in 1960, as Vice Chancellor of the university. In this interview, Kragen discusses his private practice, Californian and international tax law, motion picture industry law in the 1940s, and his wife and family.
