Marguerite Clausen was born in Richmond, California in 1912 and lived in the city her whole life. Her family ran the Pullman Bakery at 3411 Cutting Boulevard in Richmond and Clausen worked at the Filice and Perrelli Canning Company. In this interview, Clausen reflects on her family’s German background, the Pullman bakery, her childhood and schooling in Richmond, and her work at the Filice and Perrelli Canning Company. She also discusses Richmond before, during, and after World War II.
