Noel Dyer was a trial attorney for more than forty-five years at San Francisco law firm Pillsbury, Madison & Sutro, specializing in medical injury law. Born in 1913 in San Francisco, California, Dyer earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from University of San Francisco in 1936 and law degree from University of San Francisco School of Law 1939. He began working at Pillsbury, Madison, & Sutro in 1940, leaving to serve in the Navy in 1942 and returning to the firm in 1946. In this interview, Dyer discusses California public utilities regulation and cases in the fifties, antibiotic and medication injury lawsuits, Silicon Valley trade secret cases, and California water rights.
