This trailer, hastily built of junk, is home to three Richmond Shipyard workers, one of whom sleeps in the lean-to at the left. "We couldn't rent a place," they said. "We're trying to build, but we can't get material." One water faucet, a block away, serves 17 such "homes." Privies are built of old boxes. There are no baths.
