Title
Part of the crew which experimented with explosives in fire line construction. Deering holds the reel of Cordeau which costs four and a quarter cents per foot. Reel contains 375 feet. Fritz, Price, Kotok and Wright shown in the picture. Cordeau when strung along on the grass cover shown here, cleaned a fire line about 14" wide to the mineral soil, thus proving to be highly efficient for grass land fire line construction.
