See preceeding picture. Spruce and Balsam logs in log pond in foreground. The logs are sleigh hauled in the winter to the top of the so-called "brow". There they are decked and later rolled down the "brow" into the river. Excellent Spruce forest on each side of the "brow". The top of the "brow" has an elevation of about 200 feet above the water. Of course many of these "brows" are used on different parts of the property. D. T. Mason '19.
