Title
Grafted white fir, Soquel Congregational Church. Tree grown by Leonard Coates Nursery from cutting wood from white fir in Walnut Creek. September 1954. This tree and a few others like it were grown by Leonard Coates Nursery at San Jose from grafting wood secured from a tree on the old Chilcott place east and north of Walnut Creek. Tree stands about 400 feet from intersection of Walden Road and Oak Road. No trees have been grown in recent years. Ray Hartman, March 1955. Three trees of same type on lawn of W. F. Wright, Rt. 2, Box 98, north and east of Healdsburg on road to Geysers. About same age and size.
