A large cork oak in grove of trees planted about 1878 at Napa Game Farm near Yountville. Diameter at breast height 40 inches. It had been stripped about 25 years abo but stripped easily and yielded 147 lbs. of cork. Another tree 32.2 inches diameter at breast height was very hard to strip. 1940. Metcalf.
