The Commissary and new Clover Cabin at Whitaker's Forest, spring of 1942. The new cabin was built by the Maxon Ranch CCC largely with material sawed out by our own mill. It was given one coat of brown paint with shakes and trim painted green in the spring of 1941. Caretaker Crose built the porch connecting it with the Commissary. This building was very useful during rainy periods as well as making a fine craft headquarters. Metcalf.
