Title
One of a series of three views, #5542-43-44; from railroad lateral to west of Camp Grant. Incline looking toward Incline House and into north edge of Sec. 1 T2S R2E near Weott, California. Photo taken to show difference in condition of cut-over land between that of Pacific Lumber Company (saw logs, machinery) and that of Newton (split stuff operations, no machinery). Note lack of trees on Pacific Lumber land (except few fire columns), and large number on Newton land. All of #5542 is of Pacific Lumber Company land, left half of #5543 is Pacific Lumber Company land; all of #5544 is Newton land. Newton's side cut about 1926. Pacific Lumber Company side cut 1928, logged 1929. 7-7-32. E.F.
