Note
This image was loaned to Ansel Adams for exhibition at the 1939 Golden Gate International Exhibition and was shown as the first photograph taken in Yosemite Valley. Later research suggests it was taken three days after a view of Yosemite Falls that is in the collections of Stanford University.
Also known as "Upper Hotel" and, after 1864 as Hutchings House.
