Description
Zaid was practicing medicine when the U.S. invaded Baghdad. He worked in a hospital as a general practioner. His first encounter with Americans was the U.S. Army crashing into the hospital breaking doors down to get in. He ran to them with keys and told them he could open the doors, but they told him “if you want to stay alive, step aside”. He comes from a family of doctors, and his dream is to practice medicine again. He has worked hard to get to the U.S. to get citizenship, and qualify to practice medicine. He is currently looking for a residency program that will accept him. Zaid is focused and determined in spite of the tragedy of losing his country.
