Description

This silent, color film contains footage of soldiers training for mountaineering during World War Two. The film begins with title cards and views of men climbing rocks in the woods. Men can be seen practicing their mountaineering skills in uniform, and watching other men climb rocks in the area. In addition to rock climbing, there are views of men ice skating, skiing, playing with birds, as well as natural views of the West Virginia wilderness. Towards the end of the film, there is footage of the men during their leisure time, such as relaxing, reading, cooking and interacting with one another.
