Title
Squaw carpet ( Ceanothus prostratus) taking possesion of bank in highway cut in WYP type near Montgomery Creek Shasta County. Redding Alturas Highway. Suggests suitability of this species as a covering for banks of highway cuts in the timber types of California. Not only would it check erosion but also crowd out more inflammable grasses and weeds.
