In this paper we present the first example of the intermittency phenomenon observed from the canonical realization of the Chua's circuit family. The intermittency has been confirmed both by experiments on the laboratory circuit, and by computer simulation of the circuit model. Also an analysis of the geometrical structure of the vector field is presented and the mechanism of the intermittency is identified.
