Types to right and left of fire break up the south slope of Jupiter Peak. Semibarren type to left of break is sage-chamise. Type on the right is " chamise" predominantly with Ceanothus cuneatus and Arctostaphylos glauca associated. Note the sandwich fire-break. Ten feet cleared on each side of the 200 ft. sandwich, to be cleared by burning.
