Description
A vertically oriented propaganda poster features an illustration of part of a globe, with the tan landforms of the African continent against purple oceans and a black and white grid of latitude and longitude lines. The globe is shown as if illuminated under a spot light, and the rest of globe fades into black on all sides. Two hands with decorated sleeves reach downward from the upper left and middle right edges of the frame. The hand on the left wears a cuff with a swastika; its fingertips grasp at North Africa with red droplets dripping downwards on the map. The hand on the right wears a cuff with the Japanese Rising Sun insignia, and its fingers reach toward the East African coast and Madagascar. At the top of the poster, the words "THE DOUBLE THREAT" are printed in a white, sans-serif, arched font. At the bottom, a white rectangular banner with a stippled border contains the text "HOLD THEM OFF!" in bold, red, slanted capital letters.
