Full title:Hoses, funnels, barrels and scales. These are the tools of Carl Takano, a Nisei from Colusa, California, and Amache, who works at a soap manufacturing company in Cleveland. Carl has a room in a large mansion converted to a rooming house. Carl's employer says: I was somewhat hesitant when I hired my first Japanese-American, but I have put on a dozen since then and I find they are splendid workmen. There are both Issei and Nisei at the plant. Cleveland, Ohio.
