Redwood. Lone tree near Metropolitan north of Scotia. The only one of several left standing. Killed by dairy rancher. Originally apparently a flat of laurel and a few redwoods. On such sites the scattered redwoods have broken crowns. 10 to 11 ft. diameter at breast height. See also #7465. Aug. 17, 1949. E. F.
