Title
Sunbeam Bridge at Jade Mountain Temple, Hoan Kiem Lake, Hanoi
Variant Title
Hoan Kiem is the "Lake of the Returned Sword." According to legend, the 15th century warrior, Le Loi, defeated the invading Chinese armies with a magical sword. Later, the magical sword was snatched from the future emperor's hands by a giant turtle. Today, in the lakeside Jade Mountain Temple, one can see the remains of a giant, recently deceased turtle. Some believe that the turtle was 500 years old.
