Title
Most of the rock check-dams in the burned area were completely torn out by the force of the flood waters. This view shows junction of two branches of La Crescenta canyon above Harvey Bissell's house with material sliding into the gulleyed creek-bed from the burned slopes. The clump of maple sprouts near the center are under-cut and about to topple into the stream. 1934. Metcalf.
