Title
The cork oak about 25 years old on the J. Singley Ranch west of Wasco, Kern County, at corner of Magnolia & Filburn streets with Mrs. Singley and daughter. August 12, 1943. Measured 19.7" outside bark at 5 ft. and 16.4" after stripping. Yield 60 lbs. of cork for stem length of 8.2 ft. Had good irrigation for first years but not recently. Metcalf.
