Title
View in the Lague place, Butte County, 2700' elevation where ties were made during 1924 and 1925. It was tops at a cost of about $1.00 per acre. He will continue the systematic slash disposal this fall and expects to be able to cut ties in this stand again in 12 years. The best ties bring 82 cents each but are poor quality and the stumpage return to owner of land is a very small one, scarcely enough to pay for cost of slash disposal. Metcalf, 1925.
