Granted by Micheltorena (1) Mar. 16, 1844, for Sotonoconui, Calabaza, and Alisguey, 6 leagues, and (2) Sept. 26, 1844, an adjoining 2 leagues augmentation, Cañada de los Pinos, which included the preceding two grants. All grants were to the Seminary of Santa Inez; a total of 8 leagues. Claim filed by Bishop Joseph S. Alemany Feb. 19, 1853. Confirmed by the Board Dec. 18, 1855. Appeal dismissed by the District Court Mar. 15, 1858. Patent issued to Bishop Joseph S. Alemany Feb. 28, 1861, for 35,499.37 acres. The patent is recorded in Santa Barbara. No. 363 General Land Office map. This grant was composed of several valleys in addition to the three listed above. It was also called San Isidro, and also Aguichumo. Bowman, J.N.
