The patent is recorded in Martinez, Contra Costa County. No. 112 general Land Office map. The Indian name for the land was Chupcanes. Granted by Arguello Aug. 25, 1828, for 1 year, to Guillermo Willis (Wallis, Wallace, Wilson ?); by name. It was later granted to Salvio Pacheco. This land was also called Laguna de los Bolbones.
