Eucalyptus globulus. Wood cutters working up blue gum windfalls on Morey property near El Cajon, San Diego County, California. 12" wood sold for $4.75 a rick. This grove is about 35 years old and is said to be one of the best in southern California. Portions of it have been cut through for wood. Tree in the foreground illustrates the crookedness of blue gum trunks even at this age. May, 1916.
