Title
Influence of ocean winds on Eucalyptus at Fort Bragg, Mendocino County. The trees were set out as a windbreak around the lumber yard at the right of the road. It will be noted that the trees in the right foreground are pruned off slightly higher than the fence top. Those in the background which have protection from the natural stand of Bishop Pine (P. muricata) have developed into fairly good trees. The tops of many of these trees were brown when the picture was taken. Feb. 1921.
