Title
Test of Atlas A Weed Killer on E. rostrata on Chico Station. 1/2 inch hole bored into tree and filled with undiluted solution, Jan. 1920. Photo Sept. 1920. Shows strip of cambium 1 1/2 to 2 inches wide on each side of the hole dead with bark dried down to the wood and splitting in places. This dead strip goes well into the crown. Sprouts from opposite sides of the tree and on the edge of killed zone.
