Title
Windfall area - trees (Pinus remorata and Pinus muricata) killed by fire and blown over by wind. Illustrating natural reproduction following fire, the seedlings coming up in place where cones disseminated seed. Note persistent cones on lumbs [sic] and stems. Two of seedlings have been browsed by sheep. Fire passed through area about 5 years before. Seedling in front of hat browsed by sheep at least twice. Santa Cruz Island. June 1931.
