Title
The Topping of a Spar Tree. The first picture shows the high climber being hoisted to adjust the string of powder. The second shows removal of the top. It also shows the forked top which made removal difficult by sawing. Photo taken near Central Camp, Sugar Pine Lumber Company, by Honeycutt (?). 1923.
