Title
California Scrub Oak, Quercus dumosa. This tree which is usually small and scrubby in form is probably the largest specimen in existence according to A. E. Wieslander who took the photo in 1934. Circumference is 4 1/2 ft. - 13.45 ft. Diameter at breast height 51.4 in. Height 33 ft. Crown diameter - 55 ft. It is located in the Temblor Range of San Luis Obispo County, California, east of Simmler and near the Kern County line. Measurements were made by A. E. Wieslander in 1934.
