Redwood. Sporophores of Poria sequoiae, in a hollow tree. Not ordinarily found so exposed. Tree is #1631, about 66" diameter at breast height on lower Bull Creek Flat at end of road (parking area). Opening is 31" wide at outside, 38" inside and more than 10' high, facing north. Close up. See also 6686. 3-22-40. E.F.
