Redwood cut-over land. Pocket Canyon Creek, about one mile south of Guerneville, California. Stumps on the flat are up to 4 1/2 feet in diameter. The flat is used as a pasture. Conifers are mostly Douglas fir and redwood (sprouts). The brush -- mostly tan oak. See also #6499 and #6500. 6-3-38. E.F.
