Carson Quadrangle, Nevada. Timber with grazing. Pinus jeffreyi- sage mosaic bordering Jack's Valley. Purshia tridentata, dark shrub at right foreground and heavy in type between timber and barn. A valuable cattle browse often occurs with Artemisia tridentata, common light colored sage if not destroyed by fires.
