Looking W showing relict sugar pine in chaparral at head of Bendmore Valley, Lake County. Chaparral species: Adenostoma fasciculatum, Quercus dumosa, Cercocarpus betuloides and Pickeringia montana. Hardwoods: Canyon live oak and madrone. Note also knobcone pine.
