Title
Site Index 50. Property line fence as boundary between ponderosa pine type and woodland type. Proves that woodland species move onto site from which pine is removed by clearing and fire. On 0.2 -acre plot in pine type there were the following trees over 4 inches diameter: 22 ponderosa pine; 6 black oak; on woodland area-2 ponderosa pine; 4 black oak; 13 interior live oak; 8 digger pine and 7 valley oak.
